Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. Let me tell you a little bit about it.

The goal of this website and the Reporting The Real Deal newsletter is to share factual Black History and Cultural information, as well as political issues, events, and policies that affect Black and Brown people.

Now more than ever, the community needs to be aware, educated, and focused because “the struggle is real.” Still…and it’s not going to get better any time soon.

So, with that said, this site was built in response to the popularity of the Reporting The Real Deal Newsletter. It’s published weekly, by Yours truly, every Wednesday. Each addition includes an article on Black History, a video on a historical event, person, policy, or issue, and three to four curated articles on topics like news, culture, politics, health, living-while-Black, and Shaking My Head (SMH). I wrap it up with The Arts—a section dedicated to Black musicians, singers, dancers, etc.

If you are looking for celebrity gossip or who -wore -what -where, this isn’t for you. But if you want to learn more and stay up to date on Black History and cultural issues, you’ve found the right spot.
